B2B COMMERCE · DISTRIBUTION
A staged move from a constrained legacy commerce platform to a B2B architecture connecting catalogue, search, ERP, CRM and external sales channels.
Komsell operates a B2B auto-parts catalogue and sales workflow that depends on product, stock, customer, pricing and order data moving between the storefront and internal systems.
The legacy commerce application constrained catalogue and search workflows, made new sales scenarios difficult to release and left integrations requiring regular operational attention.
Catalogue access and OEM-number search were unreliable, changes took too long to deliver, and the operations team had to work across several interfaces while monitoring data exchange manually.
The new platform had to support an auto-parts catalogue, customer-specific B2B workflows and existing connections with 1C, CRM and marketplace channels while the commercial operation continued.
We designed and delivered the new commerce architecture, separated the storefront, commerce core and search layer, implemented the system integrations and organised the migration in stages.
The storefront, commerce core and search service were separated so they could be developed and operated independently. Data exchange connected products, stock, orders and statuses with the surrounding business systems.
Komsell received a modular B2B commerce platform with a dedicated catalogue search layer and documented connections to the internal and external systems involved in sales operations.
We can review the workflow and help you identify the smallest sensible next step.
